The good news is that you probably don't have a virus, and your USB
probably isn't damaged (It just looks that way because Norton won't let you
see it).

That's also why Recoverit won't help (because nothing is broken).

In the short term you can just let Norton scan your drive when you insert
it - then you can copy the files you need.  Then I would uninstall
Norton..Windows has pretty good antivirus built in and won't demand money
from you in a few months time.
