[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] [LCTG] Room locations for upcoming meetings

Folks,

I've made a lot of progress with the Community Center today regarding
room reservations for the coming year.

Here is a URL to a spreadsheet that contains all of the current room
reservations:

   -
   https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SYAiD_99sErxzqNxz59ZsUb6V3KKMHUj5KyJmTRUEXs/edit?usp=sharing

I have also created a Google Calendar which I will keep updated with the
current schedule. Those who use Google Calendar can just add this calendar
to the set of calendars you currently follow. The URL for the calendar is:

   -
   https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0?cid=M2QxNDVlMTA2ODlkNjhlZjg3NjZiMTgyZmFlYjQ3OWQ2Nzk5MzU2ZTY4NDYwYzJkZTczNjJhNjQyOTllYTUwZEBncm91cC5jYWxlbmRhci5nb29nbGUuY29t

Christine Dean, Director of the Lexington Community Center, approved our
room reservation requestss for an entire year -- which is unusual. I think
this is because we have convinced her that we are serious about our
meetings and have guaranteed that we will either hold meetings in the rooms
we reserve -- or will release the reservation in time for someone else to
use it. This probably means a week ahead of the meeting date.

Most of our meetings during the academic year will be in LexCC Room 237,
our normal room. At times we will have to use Room 242 which is pretty
much the size of our normal room or Room 246 which is the small room right
across the hallway from Room 237. These three rooms are the only ones in
the LexCC that have large displays.

We will always have a conflict with the Lexington Recreation Department's
programs that they run in the summer and winter school vacations. We have
already made changes for this summer and should expect to see some room
changes for a couple of weeks in the winter. The important thing is that
Christine understands that we require a room with a large display so that
we can run our Hybrid Meeting System. She has been diligent and very
cooperative in finding alternative rooms for us.

So, although it has taken a lot of effort to secure these reservations, I
feel that the huge challenge to secure room reservations for an entire year
is complete.

Of course irony rears its ugly head when in fact we couldn't find a room to
fit our needs for the first meeting (this Wednesday) after I come out with
this victory message! But equally ironic is the fact that the planning
meeting (the topic for this Wednesday) usually works better when everybody
attends the meeting remotely :-)

Regards,

-- Harry
