Peter,

1. FIRST, Try running malwarebytes in Windows Safe Mode. You'll likely 
need your bitlocker recovery code to get in to safe mode.

Running virus removal tools in Windows safe mode is a good idea. Safe 
mode is a diagnostic mode of operation in Windows that starts the system 
with a minimal set of drivers and services.

This mode is useful for troubleshooting and removing malware, as it 
prevents most malware from running and interfering with the removal 
process .
