Thanks, Dick.
Maybe this mission will show up in a future Space Update or some other presentation.

Gentlepeople-
As a follow-up to George's excellent presentation today, I have found
information regarding the recent space probe that I asked him about.
It is the Euclid space telescope launched July 1, 2023, on a Space X
rocket that George mentioned, and is a project developed by the ESA
(European Space Agency). It resides at the L2 point in space (the same
parking lot where the James Webb telescope is located). Its purpose is
to map a large portion of the universe outside the Milky Way and to
gather data about the accelerating expansion of the universe; thus
hopefully giving us more knowledge about Dark Matter and especially Dark
Energy. A few early pictures from this telescope have been released by
the ESA.
More information can be found at a number of ESA websites, such as:
https://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/Euclid
Enjoy!
