All,

If you want to stay relatively local -- my choice at this point is
northern Maine -- more flat spots than VT or NH

Check-out the National Solar Observatory website
https://nso.edu/for-public/eclipse-map-2024/

To the west is Mt Katahdin and Baxter State Park -- could be an amazing
view from the top of MT. Katahdin -- but you have to schlep your stuff up a
biggish mountain in April
To the east is the border with Canada
Coming up from the SW is I-95 from Bangor, Portland and yes Lexington

More detail -- it looks as if the pick is Merril on ME 212 (more or less
E-W) near the junction with (N-S) ME Rt-11 -- this gives you a good chance
to move if the weather is locally questionable

3+ min Totality

Try not to miss it!!!

Ted

PS: I was at the "Big one" Baja California sur Mexico -- nearly 7 minutes
on the beach @ La Paz July 11, 1991 with a clear view of the approaching
Moon's shadow [for the 2nd time 1rst was it was approaching Nantucket on a
cold day in March
