i took professor kleppener's physics course in my freshman year at MIT - or i should say the one taught from his textbook.  it was 8.012.    sadly, i had to settle for a young at that time little-known "substitute" lecturer however the year i took it ('82), prof. alan guth.    

very pleasant memories, indeed.
