I like Steve's suggestion about setting up a new Linux installation on some old Hardware and showing everybody how easy it is to use.

I am going to a client next week on Wednesday morning and will be replacing Windows 10 with Linux Ubuntu with the cinnamon desktop.

For those of you who don't know desktops the cinnamon desktop is the default for Linux Mint. It makes the computer look a lot like Windows 7 menu Style. Ubuntu is what my client requested, and I'm going to demonstrate for her beforehand what the cinnamon desktop looks like in comparison to the default Ubuntu desktop which I don't like very much.

As far as Microsoft Office is concerned you can use the online version of office if you pay for at least 100 GB of storage or the full terabyte of storage with office included.

I did a video this past week for tech for senior that aired Monday morning just a few days ago.

It offers an alternate suggestion by taking advantage of a cell phone and turning it into a computer like environment. This is where cell phones are going and where technology is going. It's available today on Samsung Android phones and also on Google pixel phones running Android 16. Both Samsung Galaxy phones and Google pixel phones today offer a desktop experience that makes it look as though you're running Chromebook essentially on just a monitor. It's an interesting video to watch.

It has received 839 views in just 3 days.

Our generation will always use computers but the younger generation those under 40 today spend most of their time on their cell phones and soon all Android users will have a desktop option and Apple users will have that option in version 26 of iOS. Apple is also adding a desktop experience to the IOS operating system.

Children will get their first cell phone and that will also be there first computer when you pair it with a Bluetooth keyboard mouse and just an ordinary monitor with a USBC to HDMI cable it transforms that monitor into a computer with a desktop and a taskbar and the ability to open multiple windows and position them wherever you want to just like you can on a regular computer.
