Here is a link to an article regarding a open source multiplatform 
clipboard manager that I just started using on Windows and Linux and so 
far I'm very happy with it. Works on Windows, Linux, and MacOS.

Simply bring up the window with all the clipboard entries in it and drag 
and drop what you want where you want it.

Windows allows you to optionally extend your clipboard from one entry to 
as many as 25.  This is unlimited.

Neither Linux or the Mac have clipboard History built in.

You can set the clipboard database to be as big as you want so you can 
accumulate hundreds or thousands of entries that are searchable.

Will this software running in the background you'll never have to 
remember where something you clipped came from and where you may have 
pasted it.
