 Google One offers a free plan with no subscription, with limited storage. They heavily push their paid plan, even when you don't need the upgrade. That is deceptive advertising.
I use Google One (free) to back up my Android phone. (I would not back up photos if I had a lot of them on the phone. Google Drive is better for that purpose. Google Photos also works, but it now counts against you Drive quota.)
The free service does not include any phone support.
Personally, for the rare occasions when I might need phone support, I would not be paying for a subscription plan. Forcing people to do that is just plain wrong, in my opinion.

 Any chance you pay for additional storage on Google Drive a feature called Google One?
 
 Anyone who pays the minimum $1.99 a month for the basic 100 GB plan per year gets telephone and chat technical support provided to them via the Google one app.
 
 I can contact them about lots of topics and they always answer. I don't always get the answer I want but I get someone to communicate with.

I am going nuts trying to retrieve my Google account on my PC. I can get it on my iPhone and can see the password, but the password does not work on my PC.
 
I have been trying literally for days with no luck.
 
Does anybody have a telephone number for Google customer service?
